Cullman Regional Family Care is excited to welcome Family Physician Kathryn Pettit, MD to the Medical Team. Dr. Pettit is a board-certified family physician who has been leading the team at Cullman Regional’s Urgent Care. Dr. Pettit is excited to begin offering primary care to patients in the area two days per week beginning in August.
Dr. Pettit is a graduate of Belmont University in Nashville, Tenn., and completed Medical School at University of South Alabama Medical School where she was a member of Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. She completed her post-doctoral training at Bethesda Family Practice in Cincinnati, Ohio where she was chief resident and received the Resident of the Year Award. Dr. Pettit is most passionate about providing thorough and considerate care to her patients and enjoys focusing on preventive medicine.

Dr. Pettit will be treating patients in the Cullman Regional Family Care Clinic. The Family Care Clinic treats all ages for conditions such as:

- Cuts and burns
- Ear infections
- Fractures and sprains
- Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and heartburn
- GI illnesses
- High cholesterol and blood pressure

Prior to joining Cullman Regional’s team, Dr. Pettit has been serving patients in various urgent care centers and primary care clinics in north Alabama for nearly 10 years. She and her husband, Ryan Pettit, MD, have two sons and reside in Arab, Ala. In her free time, she enjoys coaching travel volleyball, traveling and loves to spend time chasing around her boys, spending time with family, exercising and cooking.
