Cullman Regional is hosting free PAD community screenings on Thursday, November 7th from 7am to 3pm in the Colonel Cullmann Room, located in Professional Office Building 2 on the Cullman Regional campus.
According to the American Heart Association, PAD affects about 8.5 million Americans, becoming more common as we age. PAD is a problem that causes poor blood flow to the arms, legs or feet. Cullman Regional’s screenings offer opportunities to check your risk for PAD and more.
Screenings include the following for all participants at no charge:
- Lipid Panel
- Body Mass Index
- EKG (Electrocardiogram)
- Blood Pressure
- ABI Screening
- Bone Density Screening
- PSA Screening (for qualifying participants)
“The goal of these screenings is to help community members identify any potential risk factors they may have in order to reduce their risk for peripheral artery disease,” said Lindsey Dossey, Vice President of Marketing. “We want to help our community catch potential risks and get them under control before it becomes an emergency.”
Do you suffer from leg pain that improves with rest? Do you have high blood pressure? Do you smoke? Do you have a family member with PAD? If so, you could be at risk. Call to schedule your appointment TODAY at (256) 735-5600 or register online at here. Walk-ins are also welcome.
