Cullman Regional welcomes Cindy Hawkins, CRNP, to the Cullman Regional Urgent Care Staff. Hawkins is a certified family nurse practitioner as well as a certified clinical nurse specialist, board-certified in critical care. She is a graduate of Jacksonville State University in Jacksonville, Ala. and completed Nurse Practitioner School at University of Alabama in Huntsville. Hawkins is passionate about providing high quality, compassionate care to each and every one of her patients.
Hawkins is currently serving as a Nurse Practitioner treating patients in the new Cullman Regional Urgent Care Center. The urgent care center will treat all ages for non-emergency medical conditions such as:
- Upper respiratory tract infections
- Urinary tract infections
- Mild orthopedic injuries
- Hypertensive urgency
- Mild exacerbations of chronic conditions such as asthma, COPD and congestive heart failure
The Urgent Care Center will also provide the following services:
- Flu shots
- Vaccinations / Immunizations
- Insurance Wellness Screenings
- Drug Testing
- Physicals – DOT – coming soon
- Occupational medicine – coming soon
- Pre-employment screenings – coming soon
“I am excited to be back in Cullman, and I hope to continue to provide care for the wonderful people of Cullman for many years,” Hawkins said.
Prior to joining Cullman Regional’s Urgent Care Center team, Hawkins has been serving patients in various hospitals and primary care clinics in north Alabama for more than 20 years, including four years as the Director of Emergency Department at Cullman Regional and four years in private practice in Cullman. She and her husband Rick have one son and reside in Cullman Ala. Hawkins is also a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, participating in Medical Missions through Kenya Relief and spending time with family.
Hawkins will be seeing patients along with other providers in the Cullman Regional Urgent Care Center located on the Cullman Regional campus. The facility is open Monday-Friday, 9 am to 9 pm and Saturday and Sunday from 9 am until 5 pm.
