Diagnostic ultrasound (also called sonography) is an imaging technique using high-frequency sound waves to produce images of structures within your body. An ultrasound is commonly used to examine the abdominal and pelvic organs, breasts, joints, thyroid gland, blood flow in the arteries and veins, fetal development and to diagnose gynecological problems.

In honor of Medical Ultrasound Awareness Month, we would like to recognize our Ultrasound team at Cullman Regional. This team of ultrasound technologists has more than 70 years combined experience performing diagnostic ultrasounds. The Ultrasound team takes pride in being able to offer same-day services and Pre-certification onsite.

Our Ultrasound team is available Monday – Friday from 6am to 5pm and on-call for emergencies. Physician referral is required to schedule an appointment. For more information about Imaging Services at Cullman Regional, call 256-737-2180 or visit our website at www.cullmanregional.com.
