Radiologic Technology Week is celebrated annually to recognize the vital role Registered Radiologic Technologists play in the diagnosis and care of patients.

Not all facilities have a registered technologist (R.T.) responsible for completing your imaging exam. But at Cullman Regional, all staff members hired to perform exams utilizing ionizing radiation are required to be registered in the field of Radiologic Technology.  They have all been well trained in the practice of radiation safety, image evaluation and medical ethics.  This ensures that your physician obtains a quality image from which an accurate diagnosis can be obtained.  In addition, more than half of the Cullman Regional Imaging Department staff is registered in additional fields such as CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Mammography and Ultrasound.  These fields also require additional training and testing to ensure well qualified personnel are performing your exams.

Imaging Services is available 24 hours a day, seven day a week. Outpatient Imaging procedures are scheduled from 6:30 am – 7 pm. CT, Ultrasound and X-Ray are also available on Saturdays from 9 am – 5 pm, with screening mammograms available on select Saturdays. All exams require a physician referral except for screening mammograms. Same-day imaging appointments are available when applicable.  For more information about Imaging Services at Cullman Regional, call 256-737-2175 or visit online here.
