Baptist Health’s Cardiovascular Associates, Cullman Regional and Cullman Regional Medical Group have partnered to expand advanced cardiology care in Cullman.

Well known for providing high quality cardiovascular services in north Alabama, Cardiovascular Associates (CVA) providers moved their Cullman practice to the new Heart & Vascular Clinic on Cullman Regional campus. With years of experience in specialized areas of cardiology including electrophysiology and vascular disease treatment, the CVA team will expand Cullman Regional’s cardiac capabilities giving patients local access to advanced cardiology care.

“As Cullman continues to grow, it’s important that the hospital expands the services we offer,” said Cullman Regional Chief Medical Officer Dr. Bill Smith. “Partnering with Baptist Health’s Cardiovascular Associates to open the Heart & Vascular Clinic aligns Cullman Regional with the premier cardiovascular program in our area.”

Currently, only some of the advanced interventions and treatments offered by CVA providers are available at Cullman Regional. As the new clinic gets established, the hospital and CVA physicians will work to add new capabilities to provide a higher level of cardiovascular and peripheral vascular care in Cullman.

“We are thrilled to partner with Cullman Regional to expand access to specialized physicians and services that patients would otherwise have to travel hours to receive. Through ongoing conversations, it became clear that our vision and values are closely aligned—centered on delivering high-quality, patient-focused care close to home,” said Kevin McIntyre, Baptist Health Cardiovascular Associates Senior Director of Physician Practices. “This collaboration represents an important step in ensuring that more individuals can receive the advanced care they need within their own community for years to come.”

The Heart & Vascular Clinic opens Monday, April 27. Patients can call 256-962-5380 to make an appointment. For more information, please visit cullmanregionalmedicalgroup.com.
